FROM GEMELLUS TO SABINUS

Greek text:   PFay 114
Date:   A.D. 100.

Lucius Bellenus Gemellus a to his son Sabinus greeting. On receipt of my letter you will kindly send me Pindarus, the field-guard at Dionysias, to the city, as Hermonax has asked me to let him take him to Kerkesoucha to examine his olive-grove, as it is too dense and he wishes to cut down some of the trees, in order that those to be cut down may be cut skilfully. And send the fish on the 24th or 25th for Gemella's birthday feast. Now do not talk nonsense about gathering your olives. Goodbye. The 4th year of the Emperor Caesar Nerva Trajanus Augustus Germanicus, Choiak 18.
