DRAFT OF A PROCLAMATION TO THE EPHEBI

Dioscorides, logistes of the Oxyrhynchite nome. The contest of the ephebes will take place to-morrow, the 24th. Tradition, no less than the distinguished character of the festival, requires that the ephebes should display their athletic attainments with the utmost ardour, to the redoubled enjoyment of the spectators who will be present. In the consulship of our masters Licinius Augustus for the 6th time and Licinius the most eminent Caesar for the 2nd time, in their 3rd year of office, Tubi 23.
