Sylloge Inscriptionum Graecarum: 513

A DEDICATION BY ARISTAINETA [OF AETOLIA] AT DELPHI

Greek text:   FD_3.4.130 ,   FD_3.4.131
Date:     c. 225 B.C.

Aristaineta's monument is discussed by S.Dillon, "The Female Portrait Statue in the Greek World", pp.37, 48-9 ( Google Books ). The Greek text has been restored to make her an Aetolian, which seems likely from comparison with the previous two inscriptions.

[A] (?) Aristaineta [of Aetolia], the daughter of Timolaos, dedicates this [to Pythian Apollo].

[B] [Aristaineta of Aetolia] dedicates these statues of her father Timolaos and her mother . . . and herself and her son Timolaos to Apollo.
