This inscription, which was found outside a temple in Ptolemais ( Acre ), shows that Antiochos VII was given the title 'great king' in his lifetime; the title also appears in a later inscription ( OGIS_256 ). For the archaeological context of the inscription, see G.M.Cohen, "The Hellenistic Settlements in Syria, the Red Sea Basin, and North Africa", page 214 ( Google Books ).

On behalf of the great king Antiochos Soter Euergetes Kallinikos, the son of the very great king Demetrios Soter, and of queen Kleopatra Thea Euetēria and their children, this was dedicated to Zeus Soter by . . ., one of the first friends and the chief secretary of the forces, who was left in charge of the places.
