Supplementum Epigraphicum Graecum: 46.1088

LEX FONTEIA, GRANTING PRIVILEGES TO SOME KOANS

Greek text:   SEG_46.1088
Provenance:   Asklepieion , Kos
Date:   39-33 B.C.

Some of the names in this inscription have been deliberately erased, but it was clearly issued in the name of Marcus Antonius, when he was triumvir in the eastern provinces. For a discussion of the inscription, and the history of Kos in the first century B.C., see K.Buraselis, "Kos Between Hellenism and Rome", pages 25-65 ( Google Books ).
