Fasti Capitolini

The Fasti Capitolini were compiled in the reign of the emperor Augustus, and updated until A.D. 13, the year before the death of Augustus. They are preserved in a large inscription, which is now displayed at the Capitoline Museums in Rome. The inscription consists of three parts:

The first two parts of the inscription are translated here, based on the edition by A.Degrassi ("Fasti Capitolini" , 1954). A translation of the Fasti Triumphales is available elsewhere on this site.

For information on how to interpret the list of magistrates, see the Explanation at the end of this translation. The key to translations provides more information on the format. The numbers in red are the page numbers in Degrassi's edition.
