Select Papyri, 1.143

Greek text:   PRyl 238
Date:   A.D. 262.

From Alypius. Take heed to supply to the hunters whom I have sent to hunt wild boars everything necessary for their many requirements, that is, everything that they and their animals are accustomed to receive, so that they may hunt with all zeal. Give them also a mettlesome donkey from those in your charge, since I have retained for my own use the mule which they had. I pray for your health, honoured friend. To Heroninus, steward of Thraso. Year 9, Pachon 25.
