FROM SARAPAMMON TO PIPERAS

Original text: PTeb 424
Date: Late 3rd cent. A.D.

Sarapammon to Piperas. I sent you a letter by the baker, and perhaps you know what I wrote to you. If you persist in your folly, I wish you joy; if you are repenting, you yourself know. Let me tell you that you owe me seven years' rents and revenues, so unless you send remittances you know the risk you run.
