The Macedonian kings particularly favoured the sanctuary at Delos during the 3rd century B.C. This is one of several dedications made by them; see A.Giovannini, "Offrandes et donations des souverains aux sanctuaires grecques,", page 177 ( Google Books ). The inscription was carved on the architraves of the portico.
Philippos, king of the Macedonians, the son of king Demetrios, dedicated this to Apollo.
