Pallantion was a town in Arcadia, which was probably captured by Polyperchon's forces during his unsuccessful attack on Megalopolis in 318 B.C. ( Diod. 18.69-72 ). The historical context of this inscription is discussed by I. Kralli, "The Hellenistic Peloponnese", pp.441-442 ( Google Books ).

God. It was resolved in full assembly, postponed from the month of Teleos, on the ninth day of the month of Arneios, when Peithagoras of the phratry Sphyrēides and of the borough Kerkas was president of the council; since the Pallantians have arrived to renew the friendship that they have had since the beginning with the city of Argos, and they have described the previous benefactions 10 between the cities; therefore it is resolved by the people that they shall have friendship with us just as they request, and this shall be inscribed on a stele in the temple of Apollo Lykeios, and the treasurer in office shall provide money for the cost of it. It shall also be inscribed that the city of Argos sent envoys to Polyperchon and asked him to release the Pallantians who were taken prisoner 20 when Pallantion was captured by Menemachos, and Polyperchon released the prisoners, granting this as a favour to the city of Argos.
