This decree can be dated by the reference to Timesios, the priest of Lysimachos; see M.Hatzopoulos, "Macedonian Institutions under the Kings", page 144 ( PDF ). Timesios is also mentioned in another inscription from Kassandreia ( THI_60 ).


When Timesios was priest of Lysimachos, in the month of Demetrion; as proposed by Pantainos of the Hippolyteus tribe, the son of Symmachos; since Androbolos of Naupaktos in Aetolia, the son of Menon, shows goodwill towards the city of Kassandreia and provides [assistance] to those who arrive in Aetolia from this city, [it is resolved by the council that he] shall be [a proxenos of] Kassandreia . . .
