In document B a father gives all of his land to his eldest son, as promised in the marriage contract A. It is clear that he possessed no land outright, but had inherited or bought shares in various strips of land.   The translations are taken from R.A. Parker, "A Demotic Marriage Document From Deir el Ballas" and "A Demotic Property Settlement from Deir el Ballas" ( JARCE 1963 & 1964 ). The papyrus of B contains an abstract, as well as the main document, but the translation of the abstract is not shown here.
